The Living Room

A full-scale, two-walled living room deposited on a vacant lot in downtown Seattle.

This was a temporary installation placed on a vacant lot in downtown Seattle for thirty days. This two walled open-air pseudo living room was at the whim of the public. There were no rules. Throughout the month my collaborator and I fastidiously observed and documented the Living Room. Beyond the construction of this structure, we did not touch it for the entire month. This project culminated in a gallery exhibition that showcased a selection of our documentation as well as parts of the actual Living Room itself.
