All of my posessions in my apartment were available for purchase.
This project took place in my studio apartment. Upon entering my space visitors were greeted with a sign that declared, ‘the contents of this apartment are for sale, please inquire regarding prices.’ Guests were free to browse my apartment and purchase whatever they were interested in. Purchases included handmade art objects made by myself and others, clothing, ice cubes, a breath of mine, gifts from a former lover, dishes, clothes, and personal snapshots. I created gift certificates, business cards, letterhead, and two part receipts for this project. The gift certificates were a way for the public, beyond my immediate network of friends and acquaintances, to access my apartment.
